The Android-iPhone sharing divide is narrowing, but not all Android phones will get AirDrop support just yet. Lower and mid-range devices are less likely to get support, while older devices with flagship chips may still be included. The implementation also needs to support both AirDrop and Quick Share simultaneously, adding complexity. The exact requirements for AirDrop support are unclear, and Google's selective approach may be due to hardware limitations.
