The Springboks and All Blacks are set to face off in the US, despite the infamous Chicago fiasco. After a thorough investigation, the teams have chosen Baltimore as the venue for the fourth Test of their Greatest Rivalry series, ensuring a better experience for fans. Soldier Field's narrow and poor-quality pitch, along with communication issues, led to criticism from senior executives during the All Blacks-Ireland match in 2016. This time, the Springboks and All Blacks have opted for the M&T Bank Stadium, a 71,000-capacity venue in Baltimore, to host the September 12 match. The decision comes as World Rugby aims to boost commercial and spectator interest in the US before the 2031 World Cup, with Baltimore expressing interest in being a host city. However, the US government's travel restrictions on African countries, including South Africa, have been a concern for SA Rugby. Despite this, the Springboks are confident that the necessary precautions have been taken to avoid any potential embarrassment for the American or South African governments. The All Blacks will play four tour matches against South African franchise teams and three Tests against the Springboks, with the fourth Test always intended for an international venue as a commercial venture.
